Podcasts For Trail Runners

When I train, I often listen to podcasts. Here's a selection of what I've been sampling lately.

Billy Yang. Billy is a trail runner & film maker. I love everything I’ve seen of his. He doesn’t update his podcast often, but I’m here for it.

Chase The Summit – Trail Talk. Dave Dillon is a trail runner who loves wearable tech. He’s super personable and easy to listen to. He’s got a great YouTube channel, too.

Chasing Cutoffs. Trail running discussions for the non-elite athlete.

The Extramilest. Florist Gierman interviews folks from the world of running. He’s landed names as big as Kilian Jornet.

FKT. Heather “Anish” Anderson interviews folks who’ve set fastest known times on interesting routes.

The Freetrail Podcast with Dylan Bowman. Dylan knows the trail running world inside and out both as a competitor and commentator and has a steady stream of interesting guests. Freetrail is also a community of trail runners.

From The Backcountry. Will Peterson is a med school student who attempts crazy FKT routes in New Hampshire’s White Mountains when he can. He mostly interviews other folks committing acts of madness in the Whites.

Fuel For The Sole. Three trail runners chat about nutrition, hydration, diet, and supplements. I’ve learned a lot listening to this one.

Run The Whites. A sporadically updated podcast covering trail running and epic adventures in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Singletrack. Finn Melanson discusses trail & ultrarunning covering big races and interviewing interesting personalities.

Sounds Like A Search And Rescue. Hosts Mike & Stomp talk way too long each week about hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. There’s a special segment of SAR stories from all over reminding us all that stuff can get real out in the wilderness.

The Trailhead. The folks at UltraSignup discuss a broad swath of trail topics.

Ultra Running Magazine. Interviews with all sorts of folks important to the world of ultrarunning.
